The Rapid RH testing system should be a part of the overall moisture testing program on any project where moisture-sensitive finishes are to be applied. With all of the testing methods available today, Owners, General Contractors, Flooring Contractors and Installers need to be sure the tests they perform are accurate, repeatable, and available to all who want to know the current moisture condition of a slab on their project. This state-of-the-art, risk management tool helps to significantly reduce flooring failures.

The Rapid RH™ is also a tool that significantly improves the project team’s ability to monitor the drying progress of a new concrete slab without adding substantial cost to the project. The drying progress of a slab can easily be monitored for any period of time by using the Smart Sensor units to take periodic readings, alleviating the need to conduct other types of moisture tests until there is good reason to believe that an acceptable level of dryness has been reached. Because the Smart Sensors are installed below the surface of the slab there is far less risk of damage to the sensors or interference to normal construction activity.

Easy to Use

The next generation of the Rapid RH™ features a rugged, factory calibrated Smart Sensor. Each Smart Sensor comes with a NIST traceable certification of calibration. The CMOS Sens® technology insures the Smart Sensors’ accuracy and equilibration within 1 hour. Since the Smart Sensor remains in the concrete, once equilibrated no further equilibration time is necessary. Readings can be taken as often as needed. One of the most cost effective features of this new design is the removable Rapid RH™ Reader. The Rapid RH™ patent protected design places the Smart Sensor into the concrete and readings can be taken with any Rapid RH™ Reader, alleviating concerns of sensor calibration. You can leave the Rapid RH™ Reader in the Smart Sensor for ongoing testing or remove it for testing other projects.
